Can fasting insulin levels determine if you have insulin resistance or diabetes?Updated 10 months ago

Higher insulin levels are associated with being insulin resistant. And when left unaddressed, insulin resistance can lead to prediabetes and eventual type 2 diabetes. Blood tests (hemoglobin A1C, fasting glucose, glucose tolerance, and a random blood sugar test) are often used to diagnose type 2 diabetes.
